Maybe that day Gombe is only selling turnip seeds, cabbage seeds and fertiliser. Say you want potato seeds one spring day. This includes, for example, Gombe's seed shop. Which items are available is a random selection of what can be sold in that shop during that season. There are between 2 and 5 items on offer at a shop on any given day. You can switch between towns during the game.Īccess to purchase items at shops is limited. Much later in the game you can unlock both farms simultaneously. In Bluebell you can keep 12 animals from the outset (and expand this) but have limited capacity to grow crops.
In Konohana you can grow lots of crops and expand your crop field significantly, but only keep 6 animals total. The Two Towns mechanic means at any one time, you have good access to one side of farming, and limited access to the other. I've not played Sunshine Islands but I have played Tale of Two Towns. but Tale of Two Towns is a little more forgiving and approachable.įriends of mineral town and HMDS (save every day) are amazing though. if put a whole lot of hours into both games. actually im just gonna go ahead and say its just harder than tott. The story is pretty simple, but the mechanics are a little more difficult than Tale of Two Towns. but your crops will be of better quality if you're able to manage exactly how many sun/water points they receive. a rainy day wont give you any sun points but will instead give you 3 water points. for example: sunny days may give you 3 sun points, while a cloudy day only 1. every day you have to worry about how many sun points and water points your crops recieve. in fact, weather is where the note-taking becomes almost necessary.
the weather system is more forgiving than Island of happiness, but its still a bit rough. Its a complicated game, so theres always something to be working on or working toward. Sunshine islands is awesome, but i warn you: you will need to take notes.
